The term Spirit Boat refers to what are commonly interpreted as shamans' boats bound for the other world, with spirit persons as passengers, that appear in the rock paintings of Finland and rock carvings of Karelia. Various individuals and organisations there are engaged in the study and practice of the ancient spiritual traditions in which the paintings and carvings find their meaning. As a Finnish Canadian, I strive through Spirit Boat to be part of it.
